Keshad Adeniyi’s, "I MEAN, Look At What We Up Against," collection stands as a testament to Black resistance and refusal in all forms. While Adeniyi hails from Los Angeles, the beauty and the bloodshed depicted throughout Adeniyi’s work remind us that Watts is anywhere and everywhere Blackness also lives and that so many of our stories transcend not just geographic location, but temporalities as well. In "I MEAN, Look At What We Up Against," Adeniyi unveils 10 new works accompanied by 100 Limited Edition Prints that offer a fresh approach to both collage and figurative-based art. These works serve as windows into the past, mirrors of the present, and portals to the future.
