The Field

"The only hope I see is in the eyes of young men and women who find liberation in the acquisition of new information. When they learn what this country is - when they become aware of the number of apparatuses erected to oppressed marginalized people, they not only begin to move differently but they begin to take responsibility for the role they are playing in pushing revolutionary ideas forward. knowledge then, despite the violence of the state, becomes a lifeline - One that persists through the harsh realities of poverty, incarceration, and colonialism. subsequently, my work as an Artist, Advocate, and most importantly as an activist, becomes a type of lifeline for me. Right now i am living… considering all things.” - Keshad Adeniyi
