The Fields Working Definition of Community

is a group of people who are invested in the social, emotional, economic, political, and mental well-being of all individuals we share space with — including those who have been forcibly removed from our communities and placed in carceral institutions. Our greatest concern is for the members of our community who are most vulnerable to state violence, poverty, and oppression.
